Sales Director

Pressure BioSciences, Inc., is an exciting, entrepreneurial, early-stage life sciences company engaged in the development and commercialization of its novel and patented Pressure Cycling Technology (PCT). We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and high energy Sales Director who can help build and manage our San Francisco Bay Area and Northwest Territory in support of and in collaboration with our existing US Sales Directors, the Vice President of Sales, and the rest of our Company.

The successful candidate must:
  • Live in Northern California. Preferably the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Be able to work independently out of their own home or office.
  • Must have an automobile capable of transporting equipment weighing 100 lbs.
  • Be able to travel within the territory frequently in addition to several trips per year to the corporate offices in South Easton, MA.

Qualifications Include:
  • Minimum requirements include Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of selling experience with a focus on laboratory instrumentation and disposables.
  • History of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience within the life sciences industry and/or scientific background is an absolute must.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications and have excellent organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service and sales orientation. In addition, we are seeking a high energy, self-motivated, knowledgeable, and experienced team player who can excel in an intense, but exciting and fun environment.

Summary of Duties:
  • Source and foster relationships with potential customers within the region to drive instrument sales and manage long-term relationships that result in a high level of product sales.
  • Establish sales objectives for existing and new products by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for San Francisco Bay Area and Northwest region.
  • Assist in the development of the Corporate Sales Plan.
  • Responsible for the successful execution of the San Francisco Bay Area and Northwest region Sales Plan on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in the implementation of national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Coordinate with research & development and service personnel to facilitate a favorable customer experience - before, during, and after the purchase process.
  • Coordinate with senior management in negotiation and execution of sales contracts.
  • Provide feedback received in the field on both Company and competitor products to the Vice President of Sales and other senior managers on a real-time basis.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by working with all members of the Company in all departments, as needed, especially with the other regional Directors of Sales.
  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protect the Company’s value by keeping appropriate information confidential, and by representing the Company with honor and integrity.
  • Accomplish the organization’s goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests, and by exploring opportunities that add value to both the position and Company.
